# PalMods

> PalMods is a version-aware Palworld mod platform. It hosts mods with per-version compatibility checks, correct framework install paths, and fast downloads that are never gated behind wait timers, throttling, ads, or paywalls. It also publishes free Palworld tools and a full pal database.

The production catalog is locked to Palworld 1.0. Every mod lists which game versions it supports, its loader/framework (PAK, UE4SS, PalSchema, Steam Workshop), and its client/server side, so players can tell before downloading whether a mod will work on their install.

## Data provenance

The tools and the Palpedia are built from the real Palworld 1.0 game files, not hand-entered wiki data:

- Pal stats, elements, work suitability, drops, skills, and breeding combinations are normalized directly from datamined game data for build 1.0.
- Breeding results follow the game's combination-rank algorithm: same-species pairs breed true, curated unique combos override, and every other pair yields the breedable pal whose combination rank is closest to the average of the two parents' ranks. Parent order does not matter.
- Capture chance is computed from the game's own capture-power values (sphere power and Lifmunk Effigy bonus), the per-species capture-rate correction, target level, and remaining HP, reverse-engineered against a datamined capture-rate oracle and cross-checked with native 1.0 constants.
- Spawn heatmaps and field-boss locations on the interactive map come from the datamined spawner tables.
